Cinema Stumpers
This was an online campaign for the Avon Theatre, an independent cinema located in Stamford, Connecticut. As a student team, we created animated rebus puzzles based on various popular and successful independent films. The viewer needed to guess the answer after watching the clip. The goal of the project was to bring more people to the theatre and break the misconception that independent films are low quality and inferior to blockbuster films. The campaign ran for 10 weeks in 2020. My team and I won a Silver Telly Award for this project in 2020. I was the lead animator for this project. I created five of the ten animations the team voted to use in the final production. I also designed the logo for the project, as well as the animation which plays at the beginning of each puzzle. Additionally, I created the promotional video and the video announcing the winner at the end of each week. Each animation had a version for YouTube and the cinema and a version for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
3D Animation
These are some of the more recent 3D animations I have done. All of these were created in Cinema 3D. I also know how to use Blender however Cinema 3D is my preferred 3D modeling and animation program. All of these 3D animations were created over the course of 2 weeks as project course work for whilst studying. All the modeling, texturing, lighting and animation was done by me.
Cinematography and writing
This is a project I created as part of a group. I have always taken an interest in mental health and have taken many psychology classes during my studies. The Idea of the short-form documentary was to raise awareness of the mental health resources that are provided by colleges and to show that people are not alone in what they are going through. The hope was that this would encourage people to talk about what is weighing down and help them to understand they are not alone in these feelings. for this project I was a writer and producer. I came up with the initial concept, created a pitch presentation, conducted research on the topic, spoke with faculty working in the student health center as well as professors in the field, additionally I wrote questions for the interviews which were filmed as well as getting willing participants. Some of my other duties involved setting up lighting and managing and acquiring equipment.
YouTube Editing
Recently I have started video editing for an up-and-coming YouTuber, MikeDroTv. It has been a great experience. The video editing process is something I enjoy tremendously. I aim to work with more creators in the future.
